Travancore Devaswom Board Denies Corruption Allegations in Global Ayyappa Meet
Thiruvananthapuram: The Travancore Devaswom Board has dismissed allegations of corruption linked to the Global Ayyappa Meet, stating that the claims circulating in certain sections are baseless and misleading.
In an official clarification issued on Friday, Board authorities said that all financial transactions related to the event were carried out in accordance with established rules and procedures. The Board emphasized that the funds were allocated transparently and were subject to proper auditing mechanisms.
The controversy emerged following reports and social media discussions alleging irregularities in the organization of the Global Ayyappa Meet. However, the Devaswom Board categorically denied any wrongdoing and urged the public not to fall prey to misinformation.
Officials further stated that the event was conducted with the objective of promoting spiritual unity and preserving Ayyappa traditions on a global platform. They reiterated the Board’s commitment to accountability and transparency in all its activities.
The Board also indicated that it is prepared to take legal action against individuals or groups spreading what it described as false and defamatory information regarding the event.
