Vinobanagar Police Solve Gold Theft Case; Stolen Jewellery Worth ₹1.5 Lakh Recovered – led by PSI Shri Tirumalesh G

Shivamogga: The Vinobanagar Police Station has successfully solved a gold theft case and arrested the accused, recovering stolen gold ornaments worth approximately ₹1.5 lakh.
According to police sources, a theft had occurred at a house located in Hudco Colony, Vinobanagar, between August 3, 2025, and August 10, 2025. During the incident, gold ornaments weighing about 12 grams were reportedly stolen from the residence.
The complainant, Mrs. Usha, a resident of Lakshmipura Layout, Kashipura, Shivamogga, filed a complaint on May 26, 2026. Based on the complaint, Vinobanagar Police registered a case under Crime No. 102/2026 under Section 305 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023 and initiated an investigation.
Acting under the guidance of Shivamogga Superintendent of Police Shri Nikhil B., IPS, Additional Superintendent of Police Shri Kariyappa A.G., KSPPS, and DySP Shri Sanjeev Kumar T., a special team was formed under the supervision of Police Inspector Shri Santosh Kumar D.K.
The investigation team, led by PSI Shri Tirumalesh G. along with police personnel Raju K., Mallappa S.G., Arun Kumar N.K., and Manushankar, gathered intelligence and traced the accused involved in the theft.
Police arrested Lohith Kumar B. (29), a resident of Rattehalli village, Shivamogga Taluk, in connection with the case. During the operation, the police recovered 10.7 grams of stolen gold ornaments valued at approximately ₹1,50,000 from the accused.
