PM Modi Inaugurates Seva Teerth, Announces Major Welfare and Growth Measures

New Delhi: Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated the Seva Teerth complex in the national capital, which will function as his new office, and unveiled a series of significant decisions aimed at benefiting farmers, women, youth and vulnerable sections of society.

In his first set of approvals after shifting to Seva Teerth, the Prime Minister cleared the PM RAHAT Scheme, doubled the target of Lakhpati Didis to six crore, expanded the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund to ₹2 lakh crore and approved the Startup India Fund of Funds 2.0 with a corpus of ₹10,000 crore.

Under the newly approved PM RAHAT Scheme, road accident victims will receive cashless treatment of up to ₹1.5 lakh. The scheme seeks to ensure that no life is lost due to the lack of immediate medical care or financial constraints during emergencies.

On women empowerment, the government has already crossed the milestone of three crore Lakhpati Didis, more than a year ahead of the original March 2027 deadline. Setting a new benchmark, the Prime Minister has now fixed a target of six crore Lakhpati Didis by March 2029, further strengthening women-led development initiatives across the country.

In a major boost to the agriculture sector, the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund has been doubled to ₹2 lakh crore. The move is expected to strengthen the entire agricultural value chain, including storage, processing, logistics and post-harvest management, thereby enhancing farmers’ income and reducing wastage.

Further accelerating India’s innovation ecosystem, the Prime Minister approved the Startup India Fund of Funds 2.0 to support the next wave of innovation, particularly in deep technology, early-stage ventures, advanced manufacturing and breakthrough technologies.

Officials said the Prime Minister signed important files relating to these key initiatives at Seva Teerth, reflecting a spirit of service and a commitment to inclusive growth touching every section of society.
