War of words erupts between BJP and Congress over remarks on Prime Minister Modi

Bengaluru, Correspondent:
Political tensions in Karnataka have escalated following sharp remarks exchanged between the ruling Congress and the opposition BJP. Karnataka BJP President B.Y. Vijayendra has strongly criticized Chief Minister Siddaramaiah over his recent comments concerning Prime Minister Narendra Modi, triggering fresh friction in the state’s political landscape.

Vijayendra stated that the Chief Minister should uphold the dignity of the Prime Minister’s office and refrain from making statements that could undermine constitutional decorum. He accused the Congress leadership of diverting public attention from pressing governance issues by engaging in “unnecessary political rhetoric.”

Responding to the criticism, Congress leaders defended the Chief Minister, alleging that the BJP was misrepresenting his remarks for political mileage. They asserted that the state government remains focused on development initiatives and welfare schemes aimed at benefiting the people of Karnataka.

Political observers note that with evolving political equations and speculation surrounding leadership dynamics in the state, exchanges between the two major parties are likely to intensify in the coming days. The latest confrontation has further heated the political atmosphere, signaling continued sharp contestation between the BJP and Congress in Karnataka.

The situation remains fluid as both sides stand firm on their positions, setting the stage for further political sparring in the state.
