SIT to Probe Confident Group’s Financial Dealings; CJ Roy Undergoing Treatment in Bengaluru
Kochi/Bengaluru: CJ Roy, founder of the Confident Group, had been undergoing treatment for depression for the past four months, according to sources. He was receiving medical care at a reputed hospital located in Jayanagar 8th Block, Bengaluru.
Meanwhile, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) is expected to arrive in Kochi to examine the financial dealings of the Confident Group. The move comes amid reports that some of the group’s projects have recently faced setbacks.
As part of the inquiry, the SIT will look into the funding mechanisms adopted by the group, particularly how large-scale projects were financed without availing loans from banks. Officials are expected to review financial records and related transactions as part of the investigation.
Sources indicate that the probe is aimed at gaining clarity on the group’s financial operations and project funding structure. No official statement has yet been issued by the Confident Group regarding the investigation.
Further developments are awaited as the SIT begins its examination in Kochi.
