Rebel candidates in Davanagere are our people, will discuss and resolve it: DCM D K Shivakumar
New Delhi, March 24: Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar today said that he would talk to the Congress rebel candidate and resolve the issue in Davanagere bypolls.
Speaking to reporters at Karnataka Bhawan, he said, “I am here in Delhi for a summit organised by a media house. The CM and I toured Davanagere and Bagalakote constituencies. Many people have filed their nominations in Davanagere, but they are our people. Our leaders will speak to them and the issue will be resolved.”
Asked about resentment among the leaders, he said, “Everyone will have aspirations, there is nothing wrong in it.”
When pointed out that family politics has been given priority, he said, “Which party doesn’t have family politics? It is there in all parties. In Davanagere, three people have been in politics in Davanagere for a long time. We put pressure on Prabha Mallikarjun to contest the Lok Sabha elections. She has been doing a good job now.”
