PM Modi Visits Kerala and Tamil Nadu, Launches Major Development Projects

Kochi | March 11, 2026:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a one-day visit to Kerala and Tamil Nadu, where he is set to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for several major development projects and participate in public programmes.

During his visit to Kochi, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and launch projects worth approximately ₹10,800 crore aimed at strengthening infrastructure and boosting economic growth in the region. The projects span multiple sectors including petroleum infrastructure, highways, railways, and rural development.

According to officials, the initiatives are expected to improve connectivity, support industrial growth, and enhance public infrastructure across the region.

Apart from the project launches, Prime Minister Modi is also scheduled to address a public gathering and take part in an election-related convention during his visit.

The visit is seen as significant as it highlights the central government’s focus on infrastructure development and economic expansion in southern India. Tight security arrangements have been put in place in Kochi and other locations to ensure the smooth conduct of the Prime.
