Piyush Goyal Extends Greetings to APEDA on 40th Foundation Day

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal today extended his greetings to the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) on the occasion of its 40th establishment day.
In a social media post, the Minister lauded APEDA’s contribution over the past four decades, stating that the organisation has played an instrumental role in promoting Indian agricultural and processed food products in global markets. He highlighted that APEDA’s sustained efforts have helped position India as a reliable supplier of high-quality agri and processed food products worldwide.
Mr Goyal noted that APEDA has been pivotal in opening new international markets for Indian exporters, thereby creating enhanced income opportunities for farmers and stakeholders across the agricultural value chain. He said the authority’s initiatives have significantly strengthened the country’s agricultural export ecosystem.
The Minister also conveyed his best wishes to the organisation as it continues to expand India’s footprint in global agri-trade and contribute towards improving rural livelihoods.
Established to boost the export of agricultural and processed food products, APEDA has been at the forefront of facilitating market access, quality standards, and branding of Indian produce in international markets.
