Kerala High Court Stays Release of The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond for 15 Days
Kochi: The Kerala High Court has stayed the release of the film The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond for a period of 15 days.
The interim order was passed while considering petitions challenging the release of the sequel, which had generated public debate ahead of its scheduled screening. The Court directed that the film shall not be released during the 15-day period, pending further examination of the issues raised before it.
Petitioners are understood to have expressed concerns regarding the content of the film and its potential social impact. The producers and other concerned parties are expected to present their response during the next hearing.
The High Court’s stay order temporarily halts the film’s theatrical release in the state and possibly beyond, depending on subsequent legal developments.
Further hearings in the matter are likely to determine whether the stay will be extended, modified, or vacated.
