Gulf Air Operates Limited Flights via Dammam Amid Bahrain Airspace Closure

Manama | March 11, 2026:
Bahrain’s national carrier, Gulf Air, has begun operating limited flights through King Fahd International Airport while Bahrain’s airspace remains temporarily closed.

According to the airline, several scheduled departures earlier in the day were successfully operated using the alternative route through Dammam. Additional return flights are also expected to arrive later tonight as part of the adjusted operational plan.

The temporary arrangement has been introduced to minimize disruption to passengers while authorities manage the current airspace restrictions. Gulf Air officials stated that the airline is closely monitoring the situation and coordinating with aviation authorities to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Passengers planning to travel in the coming hours and days have been advised to regularly check updates through Gulf Air’s official communication channels, including its website and social media platforms. Flight schedules may continue to change depending on developments related to the reopening of Bahrain’s airspace.

Travelers are encouraged to stay informed and confirm their flight status before heading to the airport to avoid inconvenience.
