Akkā Squad Conducts Patrols to Ensure Women’s Safety in Shivamogga

In an effort to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of women and children, the Akkā Squad of the Karnataka State Police carried out special patrols across key locations in Shivamogga on Friday.
According to police officials, the initiative aims to take strict legal action against individuals involved in harassment, misconduct, or any form of abuse targeting women and children.
On March 13, 2026, the Akkā Squad conducted patrols at several crowded public areas, including bus stands, markets, temples, and parks across the city. The patrol teams monitored these locations closely to prevent harassment and ensure a safe environment for women and girls.
Police stated that such proactive patrolling will continue regularly to deter antisocial activities and strengthen public safety in the city. Authorities have also urged citizens to cooperate with the police and immediately report any incidents of harassment or suspicious behavior.
The initiative reflects the continued commitment of the Karnataka State Police to safeguard women’s safety and maintain public order in Shivamogga.
