Air India Plans 58 Flights to Maintain West Asia Connectivity Amid Rising Tensions
New Delhi | March 11, 2026:
Amid rising tensions and travel disruptions in the West Asia region, Air India and its subsidiary Air India Express have planned to operate a total of 58 flights to and from the region on March 11 in order to maintain connectivity for passengers.
The flights are expected to connect several key destinations in West Asia, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Tel Aviv. The operations come as airlines continue to adjust schedules due to airspace restrictions and growing safety concerns in the region.
Officials said the situation is being monitored closely, and airlines are currently operating limited services while revising flight routes to manage operational challenges.
Several global carriers have also issued travel advisories or reduced operations as regional instability continues to affect international aviation schedules and passenger movement.
The development highlights how geopolitical tensions can directly impact aviation operations, forcing airlines to balance passenger demand, safety protocols and connectivity needs during uncertain conditions.
