Centre Tightens Vigilance Amid West Asia Crisis; PM Modi Calls for National Preparedness

In view of the escalating tensions in West Asia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting with Chief Ministers, emphasizing the need for coordinated national action to safeguard India’s economic and strategic interests.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of strong coordination between the Centre and state governments to effectively manage any potential impact arising from the global situation. He urged all states to remain vigilant against hoarding, black marketing, and supply disruptions, particularly in essential commodities.

Officials highlighted that the government is closely monitoring developments and has initiated precautionary measures to ensure uninterrupted supply chains. Special focus is being placed on maintaining energy security, stabilizing fuel availability, and controlling inflationary pressures.

The Prime Minister also reassured that India is well-prepared to handle external shocks, with systems in place to protect citizens from any adverse economic effects. The Centre continues to adopt a proactive approach to maintain stability and resilience during the ongoing global uncertainty.

The meeting reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring national preparedness, economic stability, and public welfare amid evolving geopolitical challenges.
