Shivaji Maharaj Procession Halted: Haratalu Halappa Questions Officials, Leads the Rally Forward

Sagara: A grand procession at Sagara marking the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was moving through Market Road in the city today when it was temporarily halted near Dargah at the B.H. Road junction. According to available information, the local police administration stopped the procession for about 30 minutes to avoid disturbance to the namaz being offered there.
The incident caused dissatisfaction among several participants in the procession. At that time, State BJP Vice President and former minister Haratalu Halappa arrived at the spot and strongly questioned the situation. He directly asked the ASP-level officers present why the procession had been stopped and subsequently ensured that the rally moved forward.

According to local sources, if Halappa had not reached the location at the right time, the procession might have been delayed for an even longer period.
While maintaining law and order is the responsibility of the administration, some participants expressed the view that justice and fairness should be applied equally to everyone. A few also commented that there should not be a situation of “one rule for one side and another for the other.”
