World’s Most Valuable Tech Firm Partners Andhra Pradesh for India’s First AI University
Amaravati: In a landmark development for India’s technology and education landscape, Andhra Pradesh is set to launch the country’s first dedicated Artificial Intelligence (AI) University in Amaravati, in partnership with global technology leader NVIDIA, the world’s most valuable tech company.
The proposed university will focus exclusively on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, aiming to build a strong talent pipeline and position India as a global hub for advanced AI research and innovation. According to officials, the institution plans to train nearly 10,000 students over the next two years through specialised academic programmes, skill development initiatives, and industry-led research.
The collaboration with NVIDIA is expected to provide access to cutting-edge AI infrastructure, advanced computing platforms, and global expertise, significantly enhancing the quality of education and research at the university. The initiative will also play a key role in strengthening Andhra Pradesh’s AI startup ecosystem, encouraging innovation, entrepreneurship, and deep-tech investments in the state.
Government sources said the AI University aligns with India’s broader vision of digital transformation and technological self-reliance, while also supporting national goals under initiatives such as Digital India and Startup India.
With Amaravati emerging as a new centre for technology-driven growth, the project is being seen as a major step toward shaping India’s future in deep tech, innovation, and global AI leadership.
