Foundation Stone to Be Laid for Educational Institution and Community Hall at Marikamba Temple, Sagar
Sagar : A foundation stone-laying ceremony for the construction of an educational institution and a community hall at the historic Marikamba Devi Temple in Sagar will be held tomorrow. The project is being undertaken by the Shri Marikamba Devi Nyasa Pratishtana.
According to a press release issued by the Trust, MLA Gopalakrishna Beluru will formally lay the foundation stone for the Shri Marikamba Educational Institution and Shri Marikamba Sabhamantapa on January 26, 2026, at 11 AM.
The programme will be presided over by K.N. Nagendra, President of the Temple Committee. Sagar Sub-Divisional Officer Veeresh Kumar, Tahsildar Rashmi, and Municipal Commissioner H.K. Nagappa will attend the event as chief guests.
Several dignitaries associated with the Trust, including Vice-President Sundar Singh, General Secretary B. Giridhar Rao, Joint Secretary S.V. Krishnamurthy, Treasurer Nagendra S. Kumat, along with other prominent personalities and devotees, are expected to be present on the occasion.
The proposed educational institution and community hall are aimed at strengthening educational and social infrastructure in the region and will serve the local community upon completion.
