Podar International School Conducts ‘The Trend Fest – Turning Waste into Wow!’

Shivamogga, September 24, 2026: Podar International School, Vidyanagar, Shivamogga, successfully conducted the culminating event of its Integrated Learning Programme (ILP), “The Trend Fest – Turning Waste into Wow!”, based on the theme “Conscious Closet.”
The key highlight of the initiative was the large-scale collection of good-condition, reusable clothes by students, which were subsequently donated to charitable organisations and people in need. Through this initiative, students learnt that clothes that are no longer needed can be given a meaningful second life instead of being discarded, thereby promoting both sustainability and social responsibility.
As part of the culminating event, students showcased their creativity through presentations and displays inspired by the principles of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. They presented innovative ideas using sustainable and eco-friendly clothing materials and demonstrated how waste materials can be transformed into useful and creative products.
The event created awareness among students and parents about responsible clothing choices, reducing textile waste, reusing resources and supporting those in need. The initiative successfully connected environmental awareness with the values of empathy, sharing and community service.
The school management appreciated the enthusiastic participation and dedicated efforts of the students, teachers, coordinators, parents and the entire school community in making “The Trend Fest – Turning Waste into Wow!” a meaningful and impactful learning experience.
