President Droupadi Murmu Offers Prayers at Govardhan, Performs Parikrama

Mathura / Uttar Pradesh | March 21 (Hind Samachar News):

President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday visited the sacred Danghati Temple in Govardhan, Mathura district, where she offered prayers as part of her ongoing three-day visit to Uttar Pradesh.
Continuing her spiritual journey, the President also undertook the traditional Govardhan Parikrama, a revered 21-kilometre circumambulation of the holy Govardhan Hill, which holds immense significance in Hindu mythology due to its association with Lord Krishna.

During the Parikrama, several prominent religious sites fall along the route, including Radha Kund, Shyam Kund, Kusum Sarovar, and Jatipura – all of which are considered highly sacred among devotees.
The President’s visit to Uttar Pradesh began on Thursday with darshan at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya. She later visited the ISKCON Temple Vrindavan and the iconic Prem Mandir in Vrindavan, where she offered prayers.

In addition to her spiritual engagements, President Murmu also inaugurated a new Oncology Block at the Ramakrishna Mission Sevashram. The facility is expected to significantly enhance cancer care services in the region and benefit patients from nearby areas.
The President is scheduled to return to Delhi later today after concluding her visit.
