BKS President P. V. Radhakrishna Pillai Leads Chartered Flight Initiative to Assist Bahrain Expatriates Amid Crisis
Manama | March 17:
In response to the travel crisis triggered by the Iran–Israel conflict, the Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS) has arranged chartered flights to support stranded expatriates in Bahrain.

The crisis began after regional airspace closures on February 28, leaving many in urgent need of travel, including pregnant women, patients, and those facing family emergencies.

BKS President P. V. Radhakrishna Pillai led the initiative, coordinating with authorities and partnering with Gulf Air. Flights operated on March 15, 16, 17, 20, and 21, helping nearly 1,000 passengers.

BKS leaders and volunteers worked round the clock to ensure smooth arrangements. Free and discounted tickets were also facilitated for those in need.

Passengers were transported to Bahrain International Airport for departure to Kerala. The initiative benefited people from multiple Indian states, earning widespread appreciation.
