Iran’s New Supreme Leader Vows Retaliation

Tehran | March 13, 2026:
Iran’s newly appointed Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has vowed retaliation against the United States and Israel following recent airstrikes that targeted Iranian leadership and military facilities.

In his first public statement after assuming the country’s top leadership role, Mojtaba Khamenei warned that Iran would respond strongly to what he described as aggression against the nation. He said Iran would not remain silent and promised that those responsible for the attacks would face consequences.

The conflict intensified after the death of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was reportedly killed in a strike linked to the ongoing confrontation involving Iran, Israel, and the United States.

Iranian officials have called for national unity and praised the country’s armed forces for their readiness to defend the nation. The latest developments have raised concerns among international observers that the escalating tensions could lead to a wider conflict in the West Asia region.

Global leaders are closely monitoring the situation as diplomatic efforts continue to prevent further escalation.
