PM Narendra Modi Urges Calm Over LPG Supply Concerns
New Delhi | March 13, 2026:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged citizens not to panic amid concerns about possible LPG supply disruptions linked to the ongoing tensions in West Asia.
Addressing the issue, the Prime Minister said the government is taking all necessary steps to ensure that global conflicts do not affect the daily lives of Indian citizens. He assured that the administration is closely monitoring the situation and working to maintain a stable supply of LPG across the country.
Modi also criticized opposition parties for allegedly spreading fear about potential shortages. He appealed to the public to rely only on verified information and avoid panic buying.
The government has stated that measures are being implemented to maintain energy supply chains and prevent black-marketing or hoarding of LPG cylinders. Officials emphasized that adequate stocks are available and that the situation is under control.
Authorities have further assured that strict action will be taken against anyone found engaging in illegal hoarding or profiteering during the current situation.
