New Safety Law Introduced in Dubai
The ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has introduced a comprehensive new safety law (Law No. 2 of 2026) to enhance safety across public spaces, buildings, events, beaches, and more.
The law includes strict safety standards and enforcement mechanisms, with penalties of up to Dh2 million for violations.
Officials say the move strengthens Dubai’s reputation as one of the safest cities globally amid rapid urban growth
