KSRTC to Launch Business Class Bus Service with Pantry and Hostesses from March 15
Kochi | March 8:
In a move aimed at upgrading passenger comfort and intercity travel experience, K. B. Ganesh Kumar, Transport Minister of Kerala, has announced that the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation will introduce a new Business Class bus service starting March 15.
According to the minister, the premium buses will come with several modern amenities including an onboard pantry, toilet facilities, and dedicated bus hostesses to assist passengers during the journey.
The service will initially operate on the busy Kochi – Thiruvananthapuram corridor, one of the most heavily travelled intercity routes in the state.

Passengers will also have the option to pre-book meals while reserving tickets, with food served onboard during the journey. The limited-stop premium service is expected to complete the trip between the two cities in around four hours, offering a faster and more comfortable travel option.
Officials say the initiative is part of KSRTC’s broader effort to modernize intercity bus travel and attract more passengers to public transport by providing airline-style comfort on road journeys.
If the service receives a positive response from passengers, the corporation is expected to expand the Business Class buses to other major routes across Kerala in the future.
