Ministry of Ayush Invites Applications for Prime Minister’s Awards for Yoga 2026
New Delhi: The Ministry of Ayush has invited applications for the Prime Minister’s Awards for Yoga 2026, an initiative aimed at inspiring broader participation, innovation, and leadership in the field of Yoga.
According to the Ministry, the awards will be presented in two categories — Individuals and Institutions. Each awardee will receive a trophy, a certificate, and a cash prize of ₹25 lakh.
The Ministry stated that the prestigious award seeks to recognise exemplary contributions towards the development and promotion of Yoga at both national and international levels. It aims to honour those who have significantly advanced the practice, teaching, research, or propagation of Yoga across communities.
Eligible individuals and institutions can submit their applications through the National Awards Portal. The last date for submission of applications is the 21st of next month.
The Prime Minister’s Awards for Yoga are considered among the highest honours in the field, acknowledging outstanding efforts to promote India’s ancient wellness tradition globally.
