Seychelles President Dr. Patrick Herminie Arrives in New Delhi, Strengthens India–Seychelles Partnership
New Delhi:
President of the Republic of Seychelles, Dr. Patrick Herminie, arrived in New Delhi following productive engagements in Chennai and Mumbai, where he held important meetings with key stakeholders across sectors including governance, industry, coastal management, and the health sector.

Upon his arrival in the national capital, President Herminie was warmly received by Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare and for Chemicals and Fertilizers, Ms. Anupriya Patel, at the airport. He was accorded a ceremonial welcome, reflecting the close and friendly relations between the two nations.
Seychelles is a key maritime neighbour of India and a vital partner in India’s Vision MAHASAGAR, which emphasizes maritime cooperation, regional security, and inclusive growth. The partnership also aligns with India’s broader commitment to the Global South.

The visit gains added significance as India and Seychelles mark 50 years of diplomatic relations, underscoring shared values, mutual trust, and expanding cooperation across multiple sectors.
