Mahindra & Mahindra Secures Its Largest-Ever Overseas Order
Export of 35,000 Scorpio Pick-Up Vehicles to Indonesia
New Delhi: In a major boost to India’s automobile exports and the Make in India initiative, Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has secured the largest overseas order in its history. The company has received an order to supply 35,000 Scorpio pick-up vehicles to Indonesia’s government-backed entity, Agrinas Pangan Nusantara.
These vehicles will be manufactured at Mahindra’s plant in Nashik, Maharashtra, and will be deployed across Indonesia starting in 2026. The pick-up vehicles will be used to strengthen rural logistics, support small businesses, and facilitate agricultural and day-to-day commercial activities.
According to industry experts, this agreement is a significant achievement that reflects global confidence in Indian engineering and manufacturing capabilities. It not only highlights Mahindra’s growing footprint in international markets but also further strengthens India’s position as a world-class automobile manufacturing hub.
Agrinas Pangan Nusantara plans to deploy these vehicles mainly in villages and semi-urban areas, where robust and versatile transportation solutions are essential for economic activity. Known for their rugged build and superior performance, these vehicles will play a key role in supporting local operations.
