Bengaluru, Feb 03:
An appeal has been submitted to Deputy Chief Minister and Water Resources Minister D.K. A delegation comprising members of the State Farmers’ Association and MLAs from Davanagere and Vijayanagara districts met Shivakumar at his Sadashivanagar residence on Tuesday and submitted the memorandum. Shivakumar assured the delegation that he would convene a meeting of officials from the Water Resources Department and hold consultations on the matter.

The delegation included State Farmers’ Association President H.R. Basavarajappa, and MLAs Shantanagouda (Honnali), Basavaraj Shivaganga (Channagiri), Basavanthappa (Mayakonda), and Latha Mallikarjun (Harapanahalli).

The delegation expressed its gratitude to the Deputy Chief Minister for assuring them that a meeting would be held to discuss the issue.
